Duncan is located about 80 miles south of Oklahoma City, the capital and largest city of Oklahoma. While not being an immediate suburb of Oklahoma City, Duncan is still within a close range to this large and important city.
Single-family homes in the area range from a high price of approximately $250,000 to a low of $60,000 depending on the area in which they are located. Of course, those closer to "town" are higher priced. Most all of them include really large lot sizes and range from 2 bedroom, one baths on up to 5 bedrooms and three baths. There are no Condo's or Co-ops in the area. There are a few townhouses in the area with an average price of about $80,000. Mobile homes are always available for prices in the low $30,000 range.

To sum up the area, the housing is very inexpensive, both to buy and maintain. Property taxes are usually under $1,000 per year. There is not much in the way of employment unless your career is in manufacturing or retail. There are a Wal-Mart and grocery stores in the area but you will have to drive to Oklahoma City (relatively short ride) to do any major shopping, see first run movies and the like. All the fast food restaurants are represented in the area but there are very few restaurants other than them and what is there is not the best. Again, you will have to drive to Oklahoma City for fine dining or even better casual dining.
